Echoic

Echoic behaviors are repeating what one hears. It is a verbal operant defined by having point-to-point correspondence, meaning the word/language hear by the listener is repeated precisely as the speaker said it. Tey are duplic, meaning that it requires a modeled behavior to occur prior to the response. Echoics are the foundation of vocal language expression and development of socially mediated responding behaviors.
